Marketing Solutions Consultant (MSC)

As a MSC at Digital Cement, you are a key resource within our planning and delivery teams, bringing to the table your proven ability to contribute to technical solution planning, project delivery discipline, impeccable attention to detail, and a passionate attitude towards delivering on technical projects for successful relationship marketing programs and solutions. You will be responsible for working closely with all project teams to understand marketing strategies, business rules for integrated, multi-channel programs and campaigns, and timelines for execution. You will then translate marketing business rules into technical specs and operations plans and manage technical project components through to successful completion.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership and project oversight to assigned accounts and projects.
- Development of detailed project documentation including functional, data, non-functional and solution requirements for the technology infrastructure and data management interfaces required to support multi-channel marketing programs (based on marketing\program brief).
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of marketing data solutions, campaign management, web development and direct marketing along with their dependant and evolving technologies.
- Responsible for solution related documentation and agreements with the client, including SLAs, data security policies and others as deemed appropriate.
- Assess and recommend proposed Digital Cement technology\development initiatives and\or 3rd party tools and technologies to enhance Digital Cement's services offering.
Project\Program Management:
- Accountable for project execution according to timeline, scope and budget. Oversees internal, external and third party stakeholders to deliver on project\program objectives.
- Responsible for the management of scope changes & issues that arise during project delivery.
- Responsible for all aspects of requirements management associated with assigned internal and external projects, programs and solutions. Play a key role in facilitating, coordinating and prioritizing customer's (internal and external) business, functional and technical requirements to Digital Cement's delivery teams.
- Maintain strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with people of multiple skills set and backgrounds, and at all levels within an organization.
Client Engagement:
- Develop a positive and partnering relationship with all clients (internal and external) to ensure client satisfaction with project delivery.
- Serve as a client point of contact during project delivery.
- Proactively collaborates with clients and DC business units to drive innovation. Recommends initiatives, process improvements and projects to management and key partners.
Key Requirements:
- 3- 5 years work experience with sales or marketing applications in a data intensive environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering or related technical field (or comparative College diploma accompanied by relevant work experience).
- Strong understanding of one or more of the following: marketing data solutions, campaign management, CRM, Web and associated Relationship Marketing technologies preferably in a marketing or sales context. In addition, previous exposure to CMS, data warehousing, analytical and associated evolving technologies would be considered an added benefit.
- Professional designations and training would be considered an added benefit i.e. PMI, Agile\Lean, Vendor certifications, etc.
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve application design considerations and technical issues.
- Experience with a variety of project, software and process methodologies (i.e. Waterfall, Agile\Iterative, etc).
- Outstanding ability to communicate and sell technical constraints and solutions to a non-technical audience.
- Energy and ability to work well with others in a client-focused, innovative environment.
- Flexibility - demand can be cyclical in nature and the successful candidate must be ready to put in an extra effort at peak times.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and comfort with ambiguity.
